As those who came to the march event know, it was our final Dr Sketchy Liverpool. We loved the event, the venues the performers and most of all the people who came along, but all things must end.
Don’t despair though, because there is a new team waiting to take over the reins and bring you a whole new Dr Sketchy event. As soon as the transition to the new crew is finalised then we will provide more info. But for now, from Diva Hollywood and Steve Angstrom – so long and thanks !

Photos of Dr Sketchy Liverpool – November
December 19th, 2010Yes, yes, I’m incredibly late with these … partly because we’ve had to clear them with the performers but mainly because of wild and drunken reasons, so you can’t blame me! Anyway – here are some incredible images of Dr Sketchy Liverpool as taken by the marvelous InaGlo Photography
Note, some images are probably considered NSFW, So unless you work somewhere particularly sinful like I do, probably best not to browse while your boss is looking.

Dr Sketchy Liverpool November 21st
September 20th, 2010
Hey folks, here’s a quick heads up on the next Dr Sketchy Liverpool.
It’s on Sunday November 21st at 2pm (yep a little earlier), it’s a part of DaDafest2010 , and all tickets will be sold through the Bluecoat ticketing system this time – so you can purchase tickets online or on the phone (0151 702 5324), or in person at their box office. Book online at theBluecoat
On November 21st we are collaborating with DADA, the annual festival for deaf and disabled artists. That means we get to have 3 performers/model of such amazing quality they are going to have to mud wrestle for top billing.
The seductive sketch-ees will be
Mat Fraser (London / New York)
Star of stage, screen and sideshow – it’s the incomparable Mat Fraser, one of the UK’s best known disabled performers. You’ll have seen him on TV in the amazing “Cast-offs”, on stage in “Beauty & The Beast”, and also in ( very rude) adult cabaret “The Freak& The Showgirl” alongside Julie Atlas Muz. Now prepare to sketch his saucy self in person.
Jo (Boobs) Weldon (New York)Headmistress and Founder of the New York School of Burlesque. Internationally renowned as burlesque personality Jo Boobs, she’s rounded her heels on stages from Coney Island to Las Vegas. She’s the winner of such exotic titles as Best Bump N Grinder, Best Teacher and Mentor, and Biggest Cougar in Burlesque!
Simple to say – you are in for a rare treat as Jo Weldon makes her first ever UK appearance at Dr Sketchy Liverpool !
Cat Aclysmic
The ultimate Southern Belle gone bad. This tattooed terror from the depths of Dixie blends British wit and American burlesque with fire and dance to create larger than life characters and sex-charged satire. Unforgettable, original, and deeply entertaining Cat Aclysmic is truly the hottest thing from the North to come out of the South. So sensational she may just set fire to your pencil.

Performer : Parma Violet
August 24th, 2010
Parma Violet AKA Saffron Shearer-Gare began her foray into performance at the tender age of 13 when she first got up to tap dance as Columbia at a screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in her home town of Glasgow. A pot of pink hair dye, a lot of sequins and some twenty years later, she discovered she had been doing Burlesque all those years without knowing it.
After an inspiring trip to TEASEORAMA in San Francisco in 2002, she and her husband Al Palooka decided Blighty needed some more Burly action, there then only being four clubs in the UK. Together they started The Candy Box Burlesque Club in Birmingham in 2006 with house gogo troupe The Candied Heels and the 13 piece Palookaville! Burlesque Orchestra with singer Imelda May. The rest is history. Despite now juggling being a mum to Tallulah Violet, working at the B’ham Hippodrome theatre and making costumes and wedding dresses, Saff still has time for Burly.
Her motto is ” Don’t Dream it, Be it” closely followed by ” Tits and Teeth, everyone!”
